I was glad to attend the launch of Shoutout last week, which is a new organisation who will be working to lessen LGBT stigma in secondary schools by enabling conversations around sexual orientation and gender identity. This will be achieved through workshops, which will be facilitated by ShoutOUT volunteers who will travel to 140 schools this year, it is envisaged.

I am thoroughly impressed by the aims of this organisation, which was founded by my good friend Eoin O’Liathain from Glasnevin, and which I am glad to fully support.

My understanding is that ShoutOUT will be visiting a number of schools locally, and I wish them the very best with this too.
