I have been a longtime supporter of the Educate Together Second Level campaign, and have been glad to work to advance their cause with the Department of Education as we continue to work together and explore solutions.
It is clear that, based on the numbers currently enrolled at primary level, the changing local demographics in Glasnevin and Drumcondra and surrounding areas, as well as the number of expressions of interest, that there is a real appetite for choice out there. There is a real appetite for a Northside Educate Together second level school. And it is something I intend to work towards in whatever capacity I can.
