As part of the recent round of Sports Capital Funding, which saw local clubs get over €700,000 in funding, Dublin City Council have also successfully applied for over €800,000 in Sports Capital Funding, of which over €300,000 is earmarked for our area.
The projects include pitch improvements in Poppintree Park, Coultry Park, Kildonan Park and Albert College Park as well as outdoor gyms in Ellenfield Park, Mellowes Park, and Albert College Park.
These local developments are welcome, and I am glad to see further funding going towards the fitness and well being of our area. This is an investment in the future, and I look forward to these projects opening in the months ahead.
