Drumcondra Councillor Noel Rock has today said the community of Drumcondra has been left shaken at the discovery of a body on Church Avenue this morning. The deceased is said to be the victim of a fatal shooting.
“There is great shock in the local area about this incident. This isn’t the kind of area which sees violent crime, so this is deeply distressing to many members of the community in Drumcondra – myself included,” Councillor Rock stated.
“I would urge people living locally to give any assistance they can to the Gardaí, who are in the early stages of their investigation. Having worked regularly with members of an Garda Síochána in this area, I have no doubt that they will certainly devote all resources necessary to this case”.
