Fine Gael TD for Dublin North West, Noel Rock has today (Tuesday) welcomed the decision by both the Olympic Council of Ireland (OCI) and THG to terminate the contracts that allowed the latter to act as authorised ticket reseller for the OCI.

Deputy Rock said: “The decision to terminate the contracts between the OCI and THG is a positive step for the OCI in healing the wounds of Rio 2016.

“It shows that the new president, Sarah Keane is working to ensure that the organisation starts afresh and I welcome this.

“I believe now that former president, Pat Hickey, should work with Mr Justice Carroll Moran’s ticket tribunal and answer any questions in relation to the OCI’s relationship with THG and his own personal relationship with THG owner Marcus Evans.

“The public deserves and the athletes affected deserve conclusive answers,” concluded Deputy Rock.
