I was glad to attend the launch of the Prospect Hill and Fairlawn Community Garden project this week.

The Community Garden was put together by volunteers from the Meeting Place Arch Club and the Fingal Centre, and I was invited along to have a look at the hard work of this dedicated, committed group of people.

As I know from growing up in Balbutcher and Coultry, it’s always impressive the work that volunteers and locals can do when they commit themselves to a cause, and this Community Garden certainly proves that to be true. I am glad that this amenity will be available to locals now, and I hope it stays this nice for many years to come.

I would also like to say well done to Dublin City Council, the Fingal Centre and Meeting Place Arch Club for this successful launch.
