I was delighted to be informed at a briefing session for Councillors by Dublin Bus that a link to Charlestown will be starting in the near future on the existing 40 route.
The practicalities are currently being fleshed out, but this is great news, and is on foot of my recent meeting with Dublin Bus where I raised the issue of the lack of connectivity to the centre from Finglas. I raised this issue along with the overcrowding of the 140 route which has also been addressed somewhat, though more remains to be done.
As part of the annual review of the 40 service, the extension to Charlestown was seen as a natural progression, and I am glad that Dublin Bus have revealed their commitment.
